november special: the very best stocking stuffer!
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope the weekend was kind to you . . . we enjoyed a fun Saturday evening dressed up and entertaining for a small Halloween party, and yesterday I didn't get out of my pajamas until . . . well, I'm still in them! I can't tell you how long it's been since I've had one of those days, and it was absolutely wonderful!
Onto bigger news . . . if you are anything like me, once Halloween wraps up, I am full-force driving into the holiday season with shopping lists, Christmas music playing constantly, pinning photos of hot chocolate, mittens, and beautiful front porches. I love, love, love the holidays, and thought it would be the perfect time to run another boudoir special so that your significant other can wake up Christmas morning and see how much you truly love him. For the entire month of November, I am offering mini-boudoir sessions at a reduced rate, including a small album that will fit perfectly inside your significant other's stocking (or wrapped beautifully in red ribbon!) Here are the details: 1) 30-45 minute boudoir session with unlimited clothing options in that time (2 would be ideal); 2) 30 digital negatives will be edited and given to you on DVD; 3) choose 20 of those images to be included in a beautiful 5 x 5 genuine leather mini-album; 4) this is offered at a discounted rate of $175.
I have been doing boudoir photography for about five years now, and I can tell you that it is one of the most empowering, wonderful experiences that most of my clients can say they have been a part of . . . it is such a celebration of your confidence and beauty! My sessions are classy, sexy, tasteful and elegant . . . if you'd like to hear from past clients before you commit to a session, please don't hesitate to contact me. If you'd like to get on the calendar, you can reach me at morgan@morganlamare.com, or (406) 570-7162. I'm happy to answer any questions and meet you in person prior to the shoot if that would bring you more comfort in working with me.
Enjoy your week!

kayleigh and ryan are engaged!
Kayleigh and Ryan are one of my very beautiful 2013 couples, getting married next September at the Gallatin Gateway Inn. They came up from Billings for their engagement session on a Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago, and we could not have asked for a more perfect evening than we had! The light and air were perfect, fall colors were around us, and their love for one another made them complete naturals in front of the camera . . .
I can't wait to photograph their love and joy in wedding attire! Stay cozy this winter and I'll see you two in 2013. :) Much love!

baby aimon
These sweet little babies lately are making me very anxious to meet the little one who keeps me from sleeping on my belly anymore! Sweet little Aimon was just under two weeks old when I photographed him with his beautiful mama, Addie. He stayed all snuggled in and slept like a little champ . . .

how to make a baby smile
Happy Monday, everyone! I flew in early yesterday afternoon from a whirlwind trip to upstate New York, where I photographed a wedding on Friday and two portrait shoots as well . . . I made sure to spend lots of time relaxing, with my family, shopping at a couple of my favorite local stores, and eating a handful of my favorite foods. This morning I made my list of Things to Blog and it's quite lengthy, so please stay tuned for much more eye candy. In the meantime, little miss Grace turned one year old the very same day I photographed her. And she was quite happy about it. I honestly don't do enough portrait sessions to give me that full blown confidence to keep a baby that has just met me for the first time happy for an hour or two, but I do know the airplane works wonders. :) Keep on smiling, little one!

michelle and jordan: july 7, 2012
This past summer, I photographed the beautiful Michelle and Jordan at a new venue for me, and one that is not a hugely popular wedding spot . . . Rocky Creek Farm! Those of us Bozeman locals know this venue for their beautiful strawberry and raspberry patches, and pumpkin picking and hay rides every October. When I met with Michelle, she told me she wanted to have her wedding at a spot that was meaningful and special to her, and Rocky Creek Farm was a childhood favorite. They got ready right in the owners' home, had their portraits taken in the orchard, and had a beautiful ceremony right on the lawn next to the creek. Michelle and Jordan, much love to you for a lifetime of happiness, and making many new memories!

let's meet!
I have many beautiful wedding images to share with you still from the rest of the summer, but I thought before I do just that, it would be fun to share with you a few things about me that you probably already know (my love for food and cooking), and a few things that may surprise you (we are going to have a baby in March! - surprise!). It's a good way to re-introduce myself, since I've decided to keep on blogging on! Without further ado . . . 1) Yes, I love, love, love to cook and eat. Since this pregnancy began and I haven't been feeling all that well, I've definitely slowed down on the cooking front, and have had to watch like a hawk what I crave and give in to on the eating front, but it is a passion of mine to make a wonderful meal for my family and friends! 2) About a month before Joe and I had our amazing wedding celebration, we found out (again . . . surprise!) that we were expecting a little one. Holy smokes! In all honesty, we shouldn't have been too surprised. We planned on getting started shortly after our wedding, but apparently we are quite irresistible to one another. We have a March 31, 2013 due date, we will find out the baby's sex, and it will NOT affect my summer work schedule (in case you were wondering). This is my third baby and to be honest, but hopefully not sound like a complainer, I don't feel all that well most of the time. I had ZERO energy for about the first 10 weeks, and once I came out of that phase, I started experiencing nausea randomly throughout the day. Boo. I have to eat every two hours on the dot or I turn into a hot mess. Poor Joe. Love you, sweetie. 3) I put mustard on my pizza. I know that is totally random, but thought it was a fun fact to fit in next to that little pregnancy detail. :) It's delicious! You should try it . . . 4) I am going into my 6th year as a wedding photographer in southwest Montana. Before that, I worked as a paralegal at a wonderful medical malpractice law firm in Bozeman. I love being able to work from home, and in the past couple of years I have traveled to shoot weddings in Mexico, Jamaica, Malibu, South Carolina, and in my home state of upstate New York. It is quite an honor to be asked to journey so far to be a part of someone's big day! 5) I am a fierce list-maker! Nothing satisfies me more than crossing off those to-dos. 6) I love being a girl! My everyday favorites are Bare Minerals, Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier makeup, Bumble & Bumble and Moroccon Oil hair products, and Narciso Rodriquez perfume. I do, however, have a horrible habit of going to bed with my makeup on. 7) I love to read, and oh, how I have missed it so! This past year I finally made some serious time for it to be back in my life, due in part to keeping a stricter work schedule during the days and a leisure and family schedule during the nights. I recently finished Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and oh. my. goodness. What a phenomenal writer is she! I majored in English and Writing in college, so a poorly-written book is the equivalent of spoiled food to me. I won't touch it. 8) I am a sucker for celebrity news and photos - probably because I always wanted to be an actress! 9) My girls don't let me microwave their popcorn because I burn it almost every single time. I'm really not sure how, with that handy "Popcorn" button and all, but it's a hot mess when I open that bag! Joe is Popcorn Maker Extraordinaire. 10) I have the most generous, loving husband a woman could ask for. Joe puts me and the girls 100% above and beyond anything else in his world. It's very important to me to take our marriage one day at a time, show appreciation and love constantly, and let those days add up to many, many years. Since I met and fell in love with him, got engaged and had a wedding, I have had so much more excitement and passion for my brides and grooms embarking on the same journey. There's nothing better than finding your lobster, is there? :)
